Not real familiar with that model, but I used some J.B. Weld to put some tabs on a plastic sidecover for the Goldwing (J.B. Weld works on any surface, just follow the directions and prep it correctly). I made them out of small pieces of sheet metal and used the J.B. Weld to attach them to the cover. The tabs for the Goldwing sidecover were on the inside at the top, but the "anchor bolt" was at the bottm (where most of the stress occures). It works just fine.
